  • Still in very good shape. Honeysuckle, citrus, apple. Palate is vibrant with citrus and a salie finish. Not tired at all.

  • Family Holidays; 7/28/2023-9/10/2023 (Alicante - España): Bottle opened with the Durand. Prestine dry cork. Half an hour before lunch. Last bottle of a supposed bad vintage. Aromas of acacia, honeysuckle or steel tube. Developing baked apple. Do Ferreiro, always surprising on the nose. On the palate it shows a watery texture, an enveloping citrusy acidity, a refreshing touch and a decent length. Slightly bitter finish. Better when it gets a little warm. I think it’s time to go back to Meaño. According with last two bottles, time to go right here right now.

Botella abierta con the Durand. Corcho seco prístino. Media hora antes de empezar el almuerzo. Última botella de una denostada añada. Aromas a acacia, madreselva o tubo de acero. Desarrollando manzana asada. Do Ferreiro, siempre sorprendente en nariz.

  • Nine years young!... This is pretty awesome. It is crisp, and popping, with apple peel, and a cool lanolin and spice thing, with mineral. It has shed some of its youthfulness, but retained so many of the qualities is had as a young wine. Love this stuff!

  • Bright yet diluted, translucide golden colour. Initially monographic of lemon bark that when heated transforms into a cornucopia of aromas of dried hay, spices or cooked crustaceans. Also a touch of salt, anise and jasmine. Impressive precision in such complexity. On the palate it stands out for its soft acidity, its greedy texture and delicate bitterness finish that provides a delicious, short and warm aftertaste, in that order. Softie vintage anyway. One of the last harvest of Gerardo and therefore without notice of "noble botritis" on the back label ... that Galician joke. Last bottle in a few years. By the way this is the very first time I've read a single vintage was bottled BEFORE to be harvested in the NEXT year (pictured).

  • Fair amount of golden color, distinctly bruised apple, moderately oxidized, rats. This is the 2nd or 3rd bottle of 13 I’ve had to pour down the drain in the past year or two, obviously not holding up. Disappointing.
