Dried cherries, tar, rose pedals, savory flavor I cannot describe, licorice, wet asphalt and minerals. Bright red with pleasant tannins and light acidity. Better after it be opens up (I liked better the following day). Really a nice wine and enjoyable.

Cherry, rose, and tar on the nose. Palate is fine and well balanced, with some subtle nuances. A decent finish too. The next day, it seemed even more settled and was drinking really well.

Has some savoury meat and tar things going on along with red berry and cherry fruits. There's a hint of flora and a strand of liquorice weaving through the flavour profile. It is decidedly 'old school' but classy none the less.

Giovanni Rosso Tasting (Knightsbridge - Northbrook IL): Tasting, brief note. Red and black fruit, elegant and classically styled with some tar and tobacco notes. Less ripe than I expected for the vintage with an ever-so-slightly bitter edge at the finish. Still good for its price and level. Better with food than on its own.

Not very giving, showing some hot, ripe plummy notes, a little licorice, overall slightly clumsy.
