Stood upright 24 hours before. Opened for 2 hours oxygenating in bottle, then decanted. Started to drink 2.5 hours. Kind of a deep garnet color. Low sediment, not an issue.
Full bodied Amarone. Very integrated and balanced considering how powerful and big these wines are. To my palate, it's like drinking a glass of black forest cake or something. Combination of dark chocolate, cherry, port flavors, etc. Very rich and decadent flavor profile.
We paired with some rustic Italian cuisine, meat sauce, etc. Wine showing no signs of it's age. Could drink now but could probably still cellar. My score is more reflective of the fact that this isn't my favorite style of wine, but the bottle itself absolutely delivers for an Amarone.

A near perfect amarone. Stood up for a week before drinking -- carefully decanted (lots of sediment, mud-like at the bottom of the bottle). Incredible aromatics and a finish that does not stop. Port-like and youthful. This wine has another 20 years to go. Or more.

Medium red warm color with good intensity and brick at the edge. Needed air for an hour. Big and complex still fruity nose with sweet licorice, roses, cinnamon, wood, dark chocolate, tobacco, sweet cherries. blueberry marmelade, plums and rasins. Powerfull taste with the amaro/bitter and nutty character together with fruit, wood, leather etc. Very nice and fully mature.

Awesome Amarone! A true "Vino di Meditazione". Massive structure, truly powerful, creamy and smooth. Great balance, wonderful aromas of black cherries, prunes, chocolate and cinnamon. Tasted four times with consistent notes (all 96-97 points).

Ready to drink but will last many more years or decades. More like a quintarelli with the touch of raisin in the nose and sweet hints. Later Dal Forno's seems stronger but I loved the style of this. Probably will stick more to Quintarelli. Time to open a bottle of his and test this theory.
