Here everything is mostly fairly priced apart from even Keller their basic Trocken is around 16 Euros. Mid range wines are 20-30 Euros and High End wines 40-60 Euros+and there Keller is extremely expensive but fantastic. I like their mid range Von der Fels wine which is about 30 Euros. I love Dönnhoff all their wines are unfruity, uncompromising and masculine but lovely too. Their Grosses Gewachs I am going to try a couple over the next month. They are around 40 Euros+. I am sorry I didn't get back sooner we have Carnival here.

For dry and sweet Rieslings, there are countless quality producers and I can only name a few: In the Rheingau region, I have always liked Balthasar Ress for their consistently high quality across their entire Riesling portfolio (stay away from their red!). I also like Künstler for their very ageworthy dry Rieslings at the top end of their portfolio. In the Nahe region, Emrich Schönleber provides very good quality across the whole portfolio. A hidden gem is Weingut Korrell, I highly recommend the Riesling “Paradies”, one of the best bargains I know. My favourite producers in the Pfalz region include Bürklin-Wolf, von Winning and von Buhl, but I rarely buy their wines since prices are elevated. In Rheinhessen, one of my favourite producer is Weingut Keller, but prices are also a little elevated. In the Mosel Region, Reinhold Haart porduces great dry Rieslings across the range, and Weingut Vollenweider's sweet Rieslings are not only delicious, but also still affordable. For German sparkling wine, my recommendation would be Sekthaus Raumland, with a broad range of sparkling wines from crisper styles to broader styles mirroring Bollinger. The quality is terrific across Raumland’s entire range. Personally, I am a fan of Sylvaner, in particular from about ten years of age once they have develop an interesting spiciness. Horst Sauer Escherndorf Am Lumpen 1655 Silvaner Großes Gewächs is a bottling I can recommend. For German Pinot Noir (or Spätburgunder), a category I am particularly fond off, several quality producers have emerged in Germany, with very different styles. Bernhard Huber and Holger Koch are two producers with a more Burgundian style. Ziereisen is a magician and produces outstanding Pinot Noirs across his whole, broad product portfolio ranging from €12 to €70, but the wines are difficult to get. Karl H. Johner produces Pinot Noirs in a fuller and oakier style and I can recommend the wines if you embrace the style, prices are €18 at the entry-level, €30 at the mid-level and €50 at the top end. If you want it big and bold, Meyer-Näkel would be a win-ery to go to. What most of these Pinot Noirs have in common is that they typically show best only after eight or nine years from vintage at the lower end and from at least twelve years from vintage at the top end. More accessible are the Pinot Noirs of Weingut Knipser, I am currently drinking their 2011 Pinot Noir Große Gewächse. Generally, I keep coming back to the whites and reds of Ziereisen and Karl H. Johner. Zierei-sen provides amazing quality even at the entry-level, and Karl H. Johner provides top quality at still affordable prices in their SJ range of whites and reds, but as said in a more oaky and fuller style that requires some age. I am feeling bad for just naming a few producers since there are so many great producers. But I would be happy to provide more tailored recommendations if you have tried a few and tell me what you liked and disliked. Hope that's helpful. Please let me know once you have tried some.
