4th Saturday Brown Bagger (J&L's): Deeper color and more rich, much closer to resembling the real McCoy. Medium mousse with a soft bead. Marshmallow fluff, brioche and roasted apple notes. A touch brighter and more fresh on the palate than the bouquet suggests, with flavors of citrus, apple, almond and mineral.

Wine-a-palooza (Jason's house): This bottle was consistent with past experiences. A pleasant sparkler with some chalk, minerals and a lot of pear. Nice to drink and overpriced, like everything from Argyle.

Wine Palooza (Eagan, MN): Solid effort with mineral, lemon, spices, chalk and sour apple. Nice acidity and medium plus finish.
