  • Walk around tasting, so just short notes.: Beautiful and elegant wine with sweet fruits and beautiful acidity. A great pleasure for a nice price.

  • Drank 2 bottles over the past 3 months. Both showed focus, cut and a slightly bitter grip unlike most 2018's. They were, however, extremely reductive, to the point of being difficult to enjoy in this current phase. The wine needs 5, ideally 10 years before a fair assessment can be made. Make no mistake however - all the elements are there. From now on it's all about patience. Followed one of the bottles over a week in the fridge, didn't manage to shed the reduction. Time, time, time...

  • Late night drink at home. Drank in Gabriel Standart.
    Appearance is clear, very pale intensity, lemon colour. Very thin legs.
    Nose is clean, medium intensity, with aromas of crushed rocks and stone dust, light yellow flowers, citrus green lime. Herbal musk funk appeared with more air. Developing.
    On the palate, medium sweet, medium+ acidity, low alcohol (9.5%), medium- body. Medium flavour intensity, with flavours of green apple, sweet pear, citrus green lime, liquid minerality, stony rock dust. Some rounded creamy note also. Medium+ finish.
    Good quality. Not like a typical Kabinett. Feels ready to go.

    This is 100% clear. Very light yellow with a hint of green

    Nose Has the signature Julian Haart “herbal muskiness” that combines a base minerality note with the treble from the bright crispy fruit

    Taste The flavors start with green apple 🍏, peach 🍑, citrus 🍊, and lychee. It is clean cut but also has a candied edge that gives some roundness in the midpalate. Cut and roundness in one wine?
    Precise flavors(clarity) Finishes clean and the flavors linger and then pictillate and fade away to nothing

  • 开瓶依然是扑鼻而来的石灰和矿物味,基本上笼罩了全体,在其中能瞥见些许柠檬、葡萄柚和青苹果的味道,果味不多,其中穿插着一些绿植味,香气并不是很开放。入口酒体中,集中度不错,酸度高,有主线,舌面有萃取酚类物质带来的酥麻感,比较平整。口中果味比嗅觉要突出一些,主要还是柠檬、葡萄柚和青苹果之类的味道,新鲜多汁,有层次感,稍微带点绿苹果和绿植的味道。中段开始出一些橡胶、淡淡的奶油、石灰粉,也很多矿物感,带有棱角感,收尾还有些许烟雾和新鲜香草之类的味道。91-92

  • 开瓶还是有一些自发发酵带来的橡胶和一点点肉味,随着发酵会慢慢散掉。果味随之出现,酸柑、油柑、青苹果、油桃等,通体比较匀称,被包裹在奶油、草本碎和白花香里,有不错的张力。入口结构中,铺展得比较开,但是立体感稍逊,和口腔接触的时候有一点摩擦感。酸度高的情况下,纵贯且立体。果味有油桃、苹果、柑橘和一点黄桃罐头,果味干净,带有透亮感。稍微有点鲜切草本绿植、药草碎、石灰和贝壳粉的味道,各种味道组合比较细致。

    醒酒之后嗅觉上石灰粉和奶油酥的味道更加明显。入口果味也变得饱满和立体一些,出现青菠萝和一点荔枝味,果味的组合也渐趋精巧。92+/100

  • Very impressive acidity for the vintage and quite a rich style. It is a lovely and classic Kabinett with a good balance between sweetness and acidity. Great wine!

  • Day 1 in line with Seth's note below. While quite good it was missing a bit of acidity and zing that I'd like. Fruit profile a bet less ripe and greener. On the other hand my better half loved it. Let's see how day 2 treats it.

  • Day 2 (or is it 3?). So I was worried about this on day 1 (and 2?). It was thin and lean and seemed more towards trocken than most Feinherbs I've had. I was simple on the nose and sour on the palate. But it seems to be coming around. Lots of sponti on the nose, with crisp lime and minerals. Very light and crystalline. Crunchy green. The palate is much better now - full of flavor and the sour acid has mellowed and come into balance with the sweetness. very racy with lots of lime, cumin, green, rocks, lime zest and pith, maybe a bit of tangerine. The finish is long and sharp. This isn't as exuberant and Julian's wines usually are (still pretty zingy), but what it gives up in pure energy it makes up for in precision. Great Kabinett and a real accomplishment in a year like 2018. Nose - 5.5/6, Palate - 5/6, Finish - 5/6, Je ne Sais Quoi - 1.5/2 = 17/20.

  • Very shy nose, hardly gives up much, just a few hints of ripe orchard fruit tinged with citrus and honey. Palate is electric though, with great tingling acidity bouncing off lightly sweet citrus fruit and plenty of stony minerals. I feel this needs plenty of air and/or a couple of years in cellar to blossom into something very fine. 91 today, but loads of upside, I reckon

  • Lunch (YongYong, Trier): True Kabinett in its best sense. Still very young. Reductive and yeasty nose. A bit closed and muted on the palate, but you can sense, that there is a killer in the making. Beautiful fruit, ripe, medium+ acidity, good extract and already well balanced. Give it a few more years or a decent decant. 92-93+

  • Helt stum rett fra flasken men åpner seg etter bare 1-2 min i glasset. Veldig ren og pen nese med lett moden frukt og mineraler. Slapp og kjedelig i munn med en gang, vesensforskjellig fra forrige flaske. Strammer seg heldigvis opp etter 10-20 min. Rå nerve og balanse. Sødmen merkes bare såvidt. Litt kortere finish enn sist, men en meget vellagd Kabinett med god QPR. Som all god Mosel vil denne tjene på lagring.

  • Nose is a bit shy, but pleasant with green apples, lime, pear and flowers. Clean, fresh and delicious mouthfeel with a delicate sweetness. There is depth here, but without any heaviness at all. Very good kabinett!

  • Blek strågul med grønnskjær. Nokså beskjeden på duft med kjølig fersken, grønne epler og hvite blomster. Grønne urter. Flott løft i frukten. «Spritzig» munnfølelse i anslaget. Deilig søt og moden hvit og grønn frukt i midtpartiet med perfekt konsentrasjon. Intens uten å være svær. Sødmen merkes nesten ikke. Helt rå syre som tar av fra midtpartiet og ut i en lang finish. Dette er Kabinett av sjelden høyt nivå! En god kandidat til årets beste kjøp.

  • Moden mango og ferskentoner under en litt reduktiv og krydret duft. noe kritt med god intensitet, ferskt grønt gresstrå.
    mango fersken sitron i munn. høy intensitet her. så syrlig du glemmer at den har sødme. intens og frisk avslutning med blodappelsin og et touch av grape og honning i finnish. 93P

  • Super fresh and delicate Riesling sourced from GG vineyard Piesporter Goldtröpfchen. Green zesty apples a bit of pear and mineralic gunpowder. Of course very young still so reductiveness haven’t yet let go. Such good balance on the palate with just the perfect amount of acidity and sweetness. Excellent QPR.
    90-91 points.
