Sunday, February 11, 2024 - A 2015 father's day gift to my dad, he's now serving my own wines back to me! 😄 Seriously though, I think it's a lovely thing to do when you're gifted wine to keep it to share with the giver.
Classic Cab, pleasingly mid-weight rather than overly big and ripe. Tart red currant fruit and dry, savoury tannins. A bit of fresh eucalypt but not green, no capsicum/pyrezine. A bit of cigarbox but it's still mostly primary. Really nice drinking now but also no rush if you want to see tertiary development in your Cabs.
