DKWINS nailed most of the notes on his 2017 notes that I observed. Highly recommended. Beautiful nose of charred meat, slight floral, and cooked game/meat notes. An excellent blend of Syrah, Merlot, Cab had some nice tannins still lingering and improved throughout the night. Certainly closer to the end point than the beginning on this wine but I really thought this was in a nice spot and enjoyed it. I have one left that I assume will be consumed in the next year.

Beginning to show a bit of age. Dark purple garnet, browning edges, opening slowly with air but holding at a peak for a relatively short period of time. Dark fruit, mocha, bramble, some softness, medium length.

This was not as good as previous tastings. Powerful dark fruit, but harsh and less pleasant heat. My last bottle of 2008, which is fine. I have some 2015 and look forward to comparing a previous value favorite from a great winery.

This got better over the course of 3 nights. Seemed a little one-note the first evening, gained complexity over time. Not the phenomenal bottle I remembered from 2 years ago, but pleasant experience to be sure.

(Lewis Cellars Alec's Blend) #4; COLOR-dark; NOSE-big fruit; very ripe raspberry coming through; very juicy; smells nice; almost pomegranate-like; very vibrant, can almost smell the sunshine; PALATE-a little oaked for my palate, but this is very young for a wine of this calibree (caliber and pedigree) and hope it will calm down with some age; a little gaminess coming through that I like; reminds me of an upscale artisan coffee with a coffee and vanilla bean component; a little overoaked for me, but many enjoy this style; WS-94; GV-89

Outstanding wine; great value. Rich dark blackberry, and would rate slightly higher without heavy tannins, but very powerful and enjoyable.
