Perfect cork and fill. Significant bricking in the glass, though nowhere near all brown. Nose is a nice blast of aged sour cherry, tobacco, and earth- it smelled great. But the fruits were faded in the mouth, lots of earth and cigar wrapper flavors, which I don't mind, but an unpleasant rancid soy sauce on the finish that I was not a fan of at all. This bottle was drinkable, nice with some pasta, but was at it's best 10+ yrs ago.

Definitely past its best drinking window, but still very enjoyable and, with a stiff acid spine, a nice drop with Italian food.
Medium garnet color shading to brick and showing clear signs of age.
Quite a prominent aroma of leather, cedar and cloves. No fruit and a bit dusty.
High acid immediately hits you on the palate. With medium strength tannins, the wine retains good structure. Quite a bit of red cherry to the taste, as well as the notes in he aroma. Fairly full bodied and quite a long finish. Very nice.

Earthy, animalistic, tabacco on the nose. Supprisingly pure cherry fruit and well balanced.
