Nose of rich cassis, undergrowth, cigar box, mint, dark chocolate. Palate is similar, less fruity, leaves, earth, dark berries. I felt the ‘03 developed better.

From Magnum which preserves its freshness and balance very well. Nose of sweet flowers ripe cherries granite leather milk chocolate. Gorgeous intensity of flavour as it opened up but still silky smooth and hints of red fruit, jammy tart, rasberries, honey. Very nice finish aided by strong but fine tannins. Fully mature now to drink

Medium-dark ruby. Expressive nose, very much in the Barossa aroma profile with torrefaction, spices, red and dark fruit leading the picture. On the palate lighter and more structured than a Syrah and less fruity hinting towards a CabSav blend. A good everyday OZ wine.

Drank this at Imperial Treasure, Changi Airport Terminal 3 during a Chinese New Year dinner.
Wine was decanted for 30 minutes before consumption. Dense purple in colour with notes of black fruits on the nose. On the palate this wine is very rounded and well structured. All the elements are present and well integrated. The freshness of the fruits is evident and this makes it appealing to new drinkers. Food friendly and very approachable at this stage.
This wine is a good showcase of Bordeaux varietals from Barossa (Australia).

Dulwich Wine Society Premium Australian Cabernet Sauvignon: Tomato leaf, cigar box and green pepper. Flavours are less well integrated than the previous wines. Still tasty though.
