I continue to live this wine. It benefits from some air and some time outside the fridge before drinking. Nose is I credible rich and complex, straw, honey, grapefruit. Palate is very dry but rich and complex with a very long finish. Very rich almost oily mouthfeel. It’s a beautiful golden color too.

I think I had a great bottle. So complex on the nose. Wax, bittersweet honey, chestnut, tropical fruit medley, and a lovely dry oloroso style nose. Full body and full throttle. Simply excellent this bottle.

This was brighter and lighter on the palate that I expected. Golden colored with a floral and slightly honeyed nose. It carried over onto the palate, but not as richly as I thought it might. It did have decent persistence though, just not in a way that overwhelms the dish it is accompanying. I think the off hot vintage shows better for the CdP whites so far, but I'm not expert in them.

I found this version of the Clos des Papes blanc to be thin and a bit simple. Some nice spice on the nose saves it and I would call it a perfectly good "café wine" right now. But if I owned it, I would drink it up without keeping it too long!

Incredible balance. Luscious, very dry, beautiful fruit, almost sherry like dried fruit. Super long lingering finish.
