Classic big Barossa Shiraz right here. Deep ruby in the glass. Loads of strong aromatics ranging from ripe, rich black berry fruit over to vanilla and cinnamon to freshly rolled Cuban cigar and mocha. Bold palate where everything is tightly knit and packed nicely. Wonderful depth. Needs a bit of decanting to settle down and mellow out since the alcohol tends to come out hot on the first few sips. Long finish. Ridiculous value for money.

Warm spices, ripe blueberries and red plums with undertones of dark chocolate on the nose. Very typical of a plush and bold Barossa Shiraz. Sweet and voluptuous plummy palate from entry to finish with a dash of acidity and licorice in the savory mid-palate and a long spicy finish. Some tannins come through in the aftertaste, need at least 2 hrs of breathing to soften for a smoother finish. But with the intensity of fruits and the right of acidity, the tannins are providing the necessary structure for further aging for a few more years before reaching its peak. Very good QPR for S$39 a bottle.
Tasted again in Jun 2018, no change to the above notes and score. Still need some breathing time for the wine to settle down.
Tasted again in Feb 2019, notes remain unchanged but the mid-palate and finish are deeper and longer. To increase the point by 2 pts from 91 to 93.

Inky/purple and full bodied. It was a lovely balance of cassis and prune with notes of oak, cloves, cinnamon and dark chocolate.
I have a few bottles of the 2015 and 2016 which I look forward to drinking in 5-10 years time.
