  • I discovered a case of this Bordeaux in a cold cellar here in Maine....
    along with a case of 1972 Chateau Coutet a Barsac sauterne.

    The Sauterne case was damaged and I decided to open a bottle to see if the idea of white wines not aging well was true.

    Man this is a nice wine.

    i opened the case of Montrose and admired the bottle, some stain and deterieoration of the first label, maybe others are better.

    When I crack a bottle I will fill in the taste report. Until then I'll ponder the meaning and sense of vintage.
