Decanted ~1 1/2 hours, consumed over ~2 hours. Our first T-Vine. Dark red with a bit of cola brown, weighty, lots of sediment. Warm and rich on the nose, maybe just a touch funky upon opening, with spicy barrel notes, slightly cooked dark berry/plum fruit, and a hint of something slightly savory in the background. No evident sweetness, heat, or volatility. Acid & tannins are subtle but still present.
If tasted blind, I probably wouldn't have called this as zin (although my experience there is limited). Still, it held up well throughout the evening and was a good match for a couple of smoky, slightly spicy sirloin tips.

delicious. far more oak then I'm used to in a zin, and certainly more than expected from T-vine. This was a wonderful surprise as I was expecting a lot bigger fruit, but instead got a wonderful mouthful of rich flavor, almost cab like. It was delicious with lasagna.

Simply wonderful again. No as big as the 2005, but still lots of flavor. I only had one glass of this the night I opened it, and then the rest sat for a whole week with a suction cork. It was still very drinkable upon return a week later. Much smoother, and not as much flavor, but it held together extraordinarily well for having been opened for a week.

Great big, bold, juicy, fruit-forward heavily sedimented CA zin done almost in a cab style enjoyed recently with Kim enjoyed recently with spicy pasta, great combo. Very typical Greg Brown wine and we love his style. Very dark, heavy, big wine but still very balanced and not syrupy or jammy. Nose of black pepper and dark stone fruit, primary flavors of dark stone fruit, tar, allspice and black pepper. Stylistically distinct from the usual approach to CA zin, if you like this style this is a good QPR wine, we love this and I definitely recommend trying this very limited production wine if you find it.
