  • Bright Pinot nose. Red fruit, conifer, green peppercorn, and bold spices gain tremendous intensity in the glass. Shows big, rich, and sappy flavors, a hefty frame, and a soft, velvety texture. Exceeded expectations.

  • Who says Siduri doesn't age? This was fantastic. I've been hiding some bottles of 2003 and 2004 Garys' in my cellar to see what would happen with. The last one I had was 5 1/2 years ago and my notes indicate I was unimpressed. This one was completely different. Now, it had great texture and mouthfeel. It was balanced, with mature fruit driven primarily by dark cherry, coffee, and xmas spice. A nice hint of mushroom/forest floor. The other bottle I have of 2003 will be drunk very soon.

  • We opened this early in the evening, pre-dinner but saved some for dinner as well. Not a lot going on aromatically and at first I found the heat distracting. Was we got some food I didn't notice the heat and the alcohol balanced nicely. It is starting to show some age but not showing signs of fading. The wine is good but simple. A hallmark of Garys'. I look forward to trying more recent vintages (2007+), from various producers, in a few years to see what vine age and experience with the vineyard brings to the wines.

  • Drank side by side with the 2003 Roar Gary's. The Siduri had much more fruit both on the nose and on the palate. Lots of raspberry and eucalyptus. Drinking very well right now and should be for a few more years as well.

  • Much better than the clunker in december. PnP. This had a bare brown edge to the violet garnet color. Forward blackberries and cherries on the nose with piercing pine and soft cinnamon vanilla oak. Medium+ weight fruit on palate with refreshing acidity and soft tannins.
