Wow, I normally love Pinot from Santa Lucia highlands, especially when it’s from Gary Franscioni and Gary Pisoni’s, “Gary’s Vineyard”, but this one just isn’t coming together. I think GHARTER nailed it with an excellent tasting note.

A big, extroverted wine. Black fruit, potpourri, earth, blackberries, rhubarb, floral and pomegranate aromas. Medium-bodied. Concentrated layers of fruit with black fruit, earth, floral, spice flavors. Mild oak. smooth tannins in the finish. Borders on over ripe.
