Truly a Grand ole Dame! Dark ruby in color, no tannins left , a lot of sediment-needs decanting. Dark Cherry, plum & earthy taste . Delicious & enjoyed with a lovely dinner .

A grand old lady that still has charm. Gobs of sediment, decanted two hours ahead, nice color. No tannins left so very smooth. Full flavor of sweet plums and pears. Great fun to drink with football, I'm guessing we would be 93+ with food.

Mid-brick, amber edges; older Cabernet nose, leather, mint, black currants; soft, balanced, smooth, not deep, fading, very drinkable. Random find in the cellar looking for different Cabernets to try. Forgot I had any left.

Drank in one sitting with friends after a lot of younger, brasher wines. Popped and poured, decanted in glass (which was a big mistake that I'll get to shortly). Dark purple color, no sign of bricking. Tons (and I mean TONS!) of sediment. This bottle was lousy with it, clouding everything up and making a mess of everyones glasses. The nose was mature and full bodied - plums, currants and fresh earth, with just a hint of old age in the background. The initial palate was warm and full. There was still some fruit hanging around, but mostly secondary notes of currants and earth. Good finish, but showing it's age a little. The overall consensus was this is a very smooth and mellow bottle. Sadly, as I finished the last swallows of my last glass, it was apparent that this wine was really starting to open up and show real nice complexity and depth... rats.
