Decanted for two hours prior to dinner. Lovely notes of dark fruit, cassis and chocolate on the nose and palate. Last bottle and probably the best upon opening and first hour with dinner. However, the score here reflects that this bottle did deteriorate quite a bit during the course of the evening. This was initially 94+, but settled in at 92 by the time we finished it. If anything, my last two bottles showed that these are holding quite well upon initial opening, but that they slip away slowly into the night.

Black plum and blackberry with hints of eucalyptus, milk chocolate, and sweet tobacco. At a perfect spot in aging for me. Just developing rustic notes and still holding fruit. Was fortunate enough to pick this up for $53 and it drinks like a wine double that price.

Plum, blackberry, cassis, gravel; beautifully poised, good fruit but not overly aggressive; long and elegant

Dark fruit, blackberry, blueberry, moderate tannins, not as much structure as the estate, very drinkable

Similar notes to the last bottle in 2019. This paired beautifully with a grilled ribeye.
