Purchased from the source. Moderately aromatic. Lots of dark fruit, cocoa and grilled steak notes on the end. Tannins are silky smooth and fully integrated. Very juicy.

Splash decant for about an hour. Drank over the course of two hours. Huge nose with so much going on, I can't even begin to describe it. Let me say first off, this wine is still very early in its life cycle. Having said that it is wonderful right now. First thing that hits you is the red cherry. Then there is a spice explosion and an assortment of earthy flavors as well as some old comfortable leather. There is some bright acidity at first but after about 10 minutes in the glass it started to drop in the background. Tannins are still deep but not astringent in the least...solid backbone without any pucker factor at all. Just a faint touch of menthol of the long, long finish just really complimented the whole experience.

Honestly phenomenal. Now is the right time to drink! The bouquet alone as worth the price with rich and concentrated red and black fruits, chocolate and some leather, somewhat Napa-esque. Palate was thick and lingering but the finish = WOW. Dense, highly concentrated, easily 45 seconds with intense Red Mountain minerality. Loved it - and so did everyone else. Sadly last bottle. Bravo!

Magnificent. Masculine structure with rich, mouthcoating fruit. Barely middle aged--should easily cellar another ten years, maybe more.

far superior to earlier vintages. Balance, depth, fruit, length. Has it all.
