At home with Valerie, last bottle from this batch purchased at rerelease. PnP, drank over 2 hours.
Dark garnet color, mild thinning at the edges. Nose showing dark fruit, smoke and mineral notes. Palate of dark cherry, blackberry, cedar, faint tobacco. Smooth texture, cherry and mineral notes persist through the mid palate. Tannins fined at this point. Full body, medium/long finish.
In my experience, Realm's Farella designate tends to be one of their most consistent wines. This is fully mature and drinking well at this point. Consistent with my experience, the 2006 vintage bottles in my cellar have performed well. In a good spot, I don't think this improves much from here. Would drink over the next few years

Not as disappointing some other reviews. Fruit shows more faded and austere than would expect from Cali cab but it's well balanced with no big fruit or heat spikes. Drink now.

This bottle was dead. Not sure if it just didn't have any life left or if there was a flaw. It wasn't corked and didn't taste like heat damage.
