  Interesting nose of cherries, leather, tobacco smoky wood, iron fillings and spice. Medium-full bodied, this is still taut with fine tannins and moderately high acidity giving plenty of structure to the voluptuous fruit. Despite the acid and tannin, this just glides over the palate like a ribbon of velvet before the tannins really emerge on the long aftertaste. This is quite good and in a fantastic place right now! This is dense and solid with loads of fruit and layered tannins. Drink now-2027 94

  This is a massive wine! It does retain some Tuscan/Sangiovese tipicity but also has a bit of a new world feel to it. Not really my thing at the moment but can argue that it’s a big impact wine!

  Nice aromatics, cherries, floral notes. Palate was a bit lacking, thin and didn't match the nose. Could be an off bottle, will revisit with other bottles.

  Deep garnet color. perfumed nose of violets. Medium full body. Flavors of cassis, dark cherry, licorice, cinnamon, and tobacco. The tannins are still pronounced. In its drinking window now, but has another 10-15 years ahead, at least. A lovely example of what Sangiovese can be. Excellent.

  still rubin red at the eye, color seems youthful. At the nose fruit is almost gone and underbrush, wet leaves and graphite prevail. At the palate still some ripe plums and dark chocolate melt with roasted coffee, with some seductive spices in the background. Typical hints of well aged sangiovese with tannins still vivid and really mouthfilling, somehow sandy at the palate. Not as juicy as expected but big stuff. In an evening of waiting for the day after at the end of this unusual Christmas season
