Nice color and weight but a bit flabby on the nose and palate. Nice but not as notable in any dimension as I had hoped. Flavors more prominent than the bouquet. Good but not great.

Tremendous bottle. Blackberry, currant, anise & white pepper. Very nice legs on the glass, but not heavy. Long finish. Recommended by the sommelier, and we approve of his choice.

Expedition Wines American Homegrown: nose: good depth with lovely tones of berries, red cherries, red currants and some bits of fresh picked strawberries. Nice expressive nose with a touch of understatement and refinement
taste: very polished feel with medium+ acidity that flows well into tones of spices, red currants, red cherries and lovely tones of mixed berries
overall: a very attractive pinot that needs a little more time to let its seductive side fully come out. It's definitely drinking right now and is very pretty, but just seems like there is a bit more to give
