First off this wine came with unknown provenance and was acquired from a sale where it was not cellared. A complete surprise as the color was deep and dark cherry with barely a hint of browning. Had a nice aroma and taste of dark blackberry and cherry upon opening. Although a bit muted at first it opened up nicely to make a very enjoyable wine experience. A testament to the fact that older Cali wines can survive almost 30yrs even under tough storage conditions. If properly cellared would still probably drink soon while it's still showing some life.

Really pleasantly surprised at how well this has held up. Deep red color just starting to develop brown-tinged edge. Beautiful fruit, mellowed but still alive. Soft curants. Balanced and refined. Losing length on the finish though.

Not too thrilled with this. Nothing special. Sorry, no detailed tasting notes.
