Blind Pinot Noir Tasting and Lunch (San Francisco): Light ruby. Fragrant green tones and mixed berry. Medium+ weight. Lovely density of ripe berry, citrus, and soil with excellent acidity and fine tannins. Supple, balanced, excellent penetration, and yet still holding something in reserve. I liked this.

Med purple Pronounced nose of red fruit, raspberry, strawberry, cherry, some earthy, smoke, graphite High acidity, med body Flavours of red fruit, strawberry, red cherry, hint of baking spice, greenery, savoury Good balance, great length, great intensity, great complexity. Intensity of fruit, and acidity will age well

Of course too early to open, but couldn’t resist trying one early. Nose is not really open for business, but it’s pure and true. Tannins the star…waves of pillowy fine grains flowing over the tongue. Dark cherry and spice flavours linger for a long time. I’m sure this will be great with a few years under the belt. (94+ Excellent wine)
