Dark gold color, not unlike a 10-year old Sauternes. Hmm, upon checking winemaking notes it seems that this has some botrytis-affected fruit in it. Fascinating stuff - it has that super-oily Rousanne mouthfeel, and a classic honeyed nose that I associate with noble rot wines...but this one is nearly bone dry. Weird. Anyway, it's tasty stuff with a very Sauternes-esque flavor and aromatic profile, but with very minimal residual sugar. My only issue is with its' lack of acidity, which makes the wine somewhat flabby.
