  • Atypical Roussanne, can definately tell the grapes were picked late... lower acidity than I like, though a style of its own. Almost like a dry Sauternes, again, because of its lack of high acid to balance the high sugar and fruit, this wine is delicious and complex, with tons of honey and pear, though lacked the acidity to create the oily, complex, food friendly Roussanne that can defy categories and create an experience of its own. A well made sweet Roussanne. Great Riesling lovers will understand what I mean when I say the wine was delicious but without the depth (and acid) to garner the potentially great, complex, and balanced flavor profiles that the grape can offer. Almost a desert wine.
