Spicy, floral nose with a little funky bottom note…absolutely stunning. The palate is a bit less developed at this stage but there’s pomegranate, cranberry, and a lot of stem influence. One of the more interesting American pinots that I’ve tried and I’m looking forward to seeing how it develops.

Off purple color with deep cherry and spice aromas. Deeply satisfying flavors of cherry with mineral depth. A touch sweet, but a fantastic balance of acid, fruit, alcohol & tannin. Finishes long and lean. I think this is a drinker to be enjoyed within 5-7 years of vintage date. I'm not a Pinot guy, but I loved this wine.
I think this is the lightest bodied red wine I've ever had. It is slightly more full-bodied than your typical rosé or, maybe, many white wines. A somewhat lean wine with very light levels of red fruit flavors. Enough acid to give it lively brightness. Not surprisingly, quite brief on the finish.

Prior reviews of this wine are spot on. The best descriptor “cranberry, blood orange, rose water” nails it. It also has a black tea element. This is a translucent wine that looks like Kool-Aid in the glass. This has upside potential with a few more years of age to allow it to integrate. Well made wine.
