Picked a couple of these up at Costco. I've been to the winery before and had fond memories of the visit. This is good value, with deep and enticing fruit that feels young and expressive. Will benefit from more time, but already quite rich and satisfying.

It's been years since I had a Burgess wine and it didn't disappoint. Drinking nicely in 2023 but probably has some time (but why wait). Didn't need decanting. Good balance of fruit and structure and a very good value.

This is drinking exceptionally well right now. My first bottle of the Contadina. Coravined first glass, opened quickly to nose of dark fruits, spice, and the kind of rich, leathery aroma typically found in many well aged reds, with a subtle background of cedar. Palate closely mirrored the nose, with some rich, yet subtle black fruits, mild oak, hint of spice, and an aged leather dryness on the finish. This opens quite quickly and is very enjoyable right now. Very impressed with the value.

Balanced. Pop n pour at restaurant. Opened up over an hour; finished at home an hour later. Integrated and not as fruit forward as other 16s I've had this year. Was nice paired with filet and veggies. Hard to find this quality at $38

Ripe and powerful black fruit character to it. Lively and full.
