Decanted and served. Showing better than pervious bottle some months back, Cherry, cassis, some dirt and still tannins showing. More fruit than last time,

Agree with previous post a longer decant was necessary. Color was that of a typical Napa Cab with good legs. Nose was light and slightly earthy. Mostly a front palate wine with much leather, anisette, earthy and heavily stewed dark fruit.

2-3 hours decant was necessary to open up. Lifted nose of dried blackberry, prunes and mulberries, supported by eucalyptus, leather and wet leaves notes. Medium high intensity of soft powdery tannins. High intensity of flavors balanced by the acidity. A bit jammy and hot yet long finish.

Fully resolved and easy to drink Cali cab. Sour cherry, cassis and a bit of tobacco with the tannins making a brief appearance. Fruit still there, with medium to light body and a little on the austere side, but that may just be the fruit fading a bit. Slow ox for 2 hours.

Drinking very well! Deep extraction. Dark cherry. Soft tannins. Long finish. Has aged nicely.
