A lighter, elegant wine but still with the rip-roaring tannins Nebbiolo is known for. Cherry, leather, anise and potting soil. Begging to be paired with rich and fattier foods

On the nose was lovely red fruit with Morello cherry, strawberry and raspberry followed by oak, vanilla, licorice/anise, violets and slight hint of raisins. Beautiful!
Palate followed with sour cherry, dark cherry, forest strawberry and sweet raspberry combined with a good oak/vanilla undertone, fennel, leather and some spice. Medium, chewy tannins with some bite but not drying out the mouth. High acidity and lovely balance between the sweeter fruit.
Just a perfect style Barbaresco for my taste and so elegant!

At Mercato BYOB in Philly. Strawberry, floral notes. Not my preferred style but paired well with italian food. Ready to drink now or in next 5 years.
