At Grace’s Cottage in Providenciales. Decanted, and it needed it. Pretty reticent. Certainly has the stuffing to be an excellent wine in 4-8 years. It took an hour to get anything out of the nose, and it was muted at that. 2030+.

3 hour decant. Med Ruby red, slightly darker core. Can tell immediately this isn't going to be a heavyweight. Expressive out of the glass; new leather, raspberry, touch of creamy vanilla and some floral notes on the pretty nose. Medium bodied, bordering on medium light. Lots of fruit but high acid tones which are slightly dominant so not quite in balance. That will hopefully resolve itself over time but history with Testamatta tells me it will not and this is the style he is going for. I do like it but, at this price... Every year it becomes clearer that I continue to buy this wine for sentimental reasons rather than being a fan of the juice.

Doubt about the bottle’s condition. I can’t tell if it’s the wine’s character. But this bottle has faint, weak nose, secondary notes like aged honey, black tea, and dirt while the fruit was too weak. It’s only fair to take another bottle.

Rather basic at this point. Possibly too early. Fruity but not much depth. Did not evolve over 2 hours.
Day two it lost all structure Becoming a tart fruity mess. Blah.

Blue and blackberries, some earth and green vines, pepper nose
Palate red fruit, oak, acidic and dry with nice mild sweetness
