Lighter ruby. Pretty high tones aromas with tart red berries, lavender orange peel and earth. As intended as this is made in the style of Nebbiolo from the 17th and 18th century - slightly fizzy, but it oddly works. Fresh flowers and exotic spice, lean and refreshing and quite good friendly. This needed 30 min to show.

Lunch with the wine ark boys (McLeay Street Bistro, Potts Point): Fresh cherry and raspberry, a little pot pourri, orange peel, slight fresh plum, pretty nose. Juicy, medium plus intensity acidity, more cherry, raspberry, plentiful talc textured tannin, very slight petillance, simple, fresh, nice. Kind of elegant.

A perfect example of just how profound the Vajra lineup of wines are from top to bottom. What should be their everyday drinker is just an absolute pleasure to drink.

Drank over several nights, best day 2 insofar as fruit became richer and seemed overall to be more open.
