  • A light and fresh style of nebbiolo with vibrant aromas of cherry, menthol, fresh flowers and an undercurrent of damp earth. The palate is more intense and offers additional flavor of orange zest. Balanced and delicious on its own or with food.

While some have noted that the “drink by” date is 2023, my bottle showed no signs of decline and was just as fresh as when I first tried it two years ago.

  • This is a really good Wine - Light red in color, almost transparent. Soft with a little tannins, some sweetness, but not sweet. Light and fresh, almost frizzy... Like it a lot! Taste is mainly red fruits, as in plum, raspberry and some cherry, but also some orange, or maybe rather pommerans. There is some yeast and mint in the aftertaste. Anis, or fennel is present but hides behind the fruits. The aftertaste is quite long, and enjoyable with lingering sweetness and fruit.
    Regret buying only one bottle...

  • Another outstanding bottle, better than the previous one. It had explosive raspberry, cranberry and bitter cherry aromas and flavors that developed significant complexity an hour after decanting, adding sweet cherry and floral, citrus and spic aromas. Medium-light body, Nebbiolo firmness and character, sappy acidity and some gentle tannins. Long, spicy beetroot finish. Outstanding QPR.

  • My least favorite of the 2018s so far (L05-19), which leads me to believe that perhaps we should drink up this vintage. Anyway, over two nights it had many of the same great characteristics that this wine showed in previous bottles and that I described in previous, detailed tasting notes. However, this time, and for the first time, the wine’s alcohol level was apparent to me. Also, the wine didn’t have the same structure as with previous bottles; it seems to be coming apart a bit.

  • Quick taste: red cherry, flowers, green herbs, orange oil. Fresh and lively, a little dried or cooked fruit character, but it is so bright overall. Easy and smooth on the palate. This is holding up nicely. The carbonic character is almost entirely gone, but it remains complex and fresh. This might be well worth following for a few more years.
