Refined, with a good balance between tropical and taught fruit, oak is well done. Significant acid on opening - found the wine better after 2 days open. Might be better in a couple of years.

Aged in 30% new French oak with partial malolactic fermentation, Stoller’s 2016 Reserve Chardonnay opens with an opulent profusion of d’Anjou pears and golden apples followed by hawthorn flower and baker’s spice. Round and silky on entry, the palate tension between fruit and acid is simply gorgeous. Flavors evolve and linger; white peach, lemon curd, and nuanced minerality. 12.5% ABV | Sample

Very much so done in a white burgundy style. Well integrated oak is balanced with brightness and fresh flavors. Floral aroma profile with orchard fruits and some graham cracker.
