Drank at 60oF. Intense, complex nose including primarily aromas of lemon, blossom and apple with secondary aromas of tropical fruit, biscuit and cheese. Secondary aromas from MLF overshadow the primary aromas. Medium finish. Drinking well now.

I live on the edge of ABC (All But Chardonnay, except Chablis and unoaked Chardonnay, that is), until this lovely 2014 Stoller Family Estate Reserve Chardonnay (sample, $35). Holy deliciousness, Batman! The 11 months in French oak add a beautiful texture and backbone to a citrus- and tree-fruit driven wonder on the palate. I'm especially drawn to the lime finish. If only all oaked Chardonnays could be like this one.

This is wonderful chardonnay. A combination of new oak and half neutral oak fermenting on top of a wonderful vintage makes for a complex and beautiful wine here. The nose is light, vanilla, inviting. Lush honeyed tropical notes on the palate with a lingering toasty finish. Definitely getting more of this for the cellar.

Two days tasting in Oregon; 3/13/2017-3/14/2017 (Willamette Valley, OR): 30% new oak. nice acidic profile, with some lemon bar character sitting on top of green apple. decent finish.

Clean, suave, and very well made. Lots of fruit make this somewhat modernly styled. Medium acid, supple mouthfeel, solid finish.
