Outstanding. Full bodied, rich flavors of apricots and figs and toasted oak, buttery. We tasted it against a highly rated Mount Eden chard and decided it was a toss-up although the two wines had different characteristics, with the Lewis chard being bolder and more intense.

4th Saturday group "uptown" tasting (R&D's): Double blind. Opens with a hint of sulfur followed by apple and clay. Coconut and apple. Holds the oak very well. Guessed Lewis Reserve Chardonnay. 92+ pts.
