First Wednesday Wine Club (Napoli in Bocca, Haberfield): Served Blind. Oof, smells like Port! A little rancio, figs, plums, alcohol warmth, sweet spice, walnut, liquorice. Juicy, medium plus intensity acidity, chalky raspy tannins, it's a little sour, oddly enough, on the palate. Couldn't get a grip on this at all. Defo Barossa - reminded me of the Chris Ringland...from a grape perspective more of a case of what it wasn't - not shiraz, cabernet or grenache but I didn't get to mataro
