  • The nose on this wine was seductive and reminded me a bit of a Phelps Insignia. On the palate, this wine didnt live up to the nose though. Not a whole lot to say about it on the palate, it was good but nothing stuck out. Decent herby, spicey, and anise filled finish but it was short lived. Still a very good bottle of wine, but I just expected a little more given the price point. If this was <$100, then I would buy this all the time, but at closer to $200, this just isn't worth it. I have had the 2006 and 2008 vintage from this producer and they were stunning examples - well worth the price.

  • Tannic for sure, but laden with rich black fruit (plum, blackberry, currant), dry to the core, beautiful mouthfeel-creamy, bit of a grape soda thing, finish is all spice and herb.. Pretty toasty. Bit of an "oak monster," as some would say

  • For what you pay, this wine was a giant waste of time and money! No fruit, tannin mess...

  • Had with Tri Tip Oscar, with a balsamic-brown sugar-Worcestershire marinate. Decanted for 3 hours, it drank very nicely. Balance was very good, guests enjoyed it quite a bit. All gone now! Was better than the 2001 Lokoya we also had.
