The nose wafts dark cherry, boysenberry, kirsch, and cigar box. Medium bodied with juicy, shiny acid and modest, smooth tannin. The structure is on point, beautifully balanced with an initially smooth mouthfeel. With more air the tannins broaden and get engagingly grippy. Flavors are quite pure and include dark cherry, blueberry, blackberry, orange zest, baking spice, and licorice. I’m glad we waited this long, it feels like it’s capitalized on primary development and is transitioning through secondary into early tertiary. I think it’ll peak in 2028 or 2029.

found this buried in the fridge...thought it was long gone. bigger, denser berry fruit. two hours open and it started to show more depth aromatically. overall a juicy, forward style considering the producer. guessing from this experience that the 15 single vineyards are probably still quite dense

I think could use a little more time, or give it some air. Started out a little harsh but came together with some air. Nice red fruit, well balanced.
