  • At the end of its life. Nose is good but not classic pinot. Initial flavors of cherry and some perfumey dark berry sag into strawberry territory by the second glass with white pepper and major umami. And I mean MSG, not mushroom umami. In fact, when we took a sip of wine and then a sip of water, the water tasted bright and sweet because of it. Which was very pleasant but since when does mere wine do that to water the way adding MSG to your food would? Crazy. Drink up!

  • Interesting to try again a relatively old Ceritas vs the softer vintages of the last few vintages. 2020s for example that we tried a few month sback.
This was fascinating to see Nicoletta's reaction as she tried it blind and could not place it as a Pinot. Spicy and rich, juicy , very new world but more akin to a soft Syrah than a Pinot. Juicy ripe rich and with spice. A lot stronger than last time we had this back in 2020 and frankly what once we found a very fascinating producer we are not sure any more what to expect as they try to please we feel a few too many palates styles rather than focus on making their style of wine. . felt like a 90 and actually this has a lot of life ahead.

  • PnP. Very pretty on the nose. Rose petals, wild cherry, a bit of violet dust, a touch of game. Fine brightness and a touch of loamy depth. Drinking well now, though I suspect there are a few more years of enjoyment to be had. Really enjoyed this. Quite good for the tariff.

  • Very good. Very Burgundian. Light bodied but well integrated and just pop and pour delicious. Was really impressed by the finesse of this and the delicate balance of fruit and acid right on open. Will reassess tomorrow with clearer head and more time to breathe!
