Was more like drinking a superb white Burgundy grand cru such was the poise and grace. Definitely the best Australian Chardonnay tasting experience I’ve had.
Things started with the most enchanting fresh and vibrant light silver/gold to green colour. The wine then danced across the tastebuds like an angel - somehow perfectly light and rounded at the same time. Floral (white/yellow), stone fruited, honey and mineral all together. Ethereal.
I may have added a point from sheer surprise at how good this was. I was hoping for very good but got GREAT. (Tasted alongside a superb William Fevre 2014 Les Clos and for me was the better wine)

Light nose is a false dawn before an explosion of taste in the mouth. Complex. Length. it has come together perfectly. Will improve but worth a try now for the experience. It won’t let you down.

NobleRottersSydney - decent Chardonnay & Pinot (360 Bar & Dining, Sydney): {diam, 13.5%} [Gordon] Slightly subdued nose of matchstick and sour white-fruit. Closed. Not initially impressive. Needs air. The palate is all about structure, minerals, with a cerebral character and subtle sandalwood. Want overt fruit? – go elsewhere. This fills the mouth with texture, a hint of lemon flavour and an almost tangy quality to it. No malo here I think – and tastes like it. Medium/high acid, dry, medium weight palate, and a long, granular finish. This needs more time, and should blossom wonderfully. A triumph of a wine.

Serious and stylish. A tad more oak than is fashionable on cool climate Aussie Chardonnay today, but that gives it some distinctiveness.
It’s rich, yet a smidge green too.
Interesting, and enjoyable.
13.3%, an odd conglomerate cork (not Diam).

Fantastic Chardonnay, previous note spot on and really like where this is right now. Flavour, richness, poise and length, it all here at the moment.
