deep lustrous gold colour, vibrant. A nose of grilled nuts, honey, honeysuckle and a little spice. I was looking for signs of oxidative characters but none found. A nicely supple palate, refined, light to medium weight. The flavours are pure, soft ripe peach, honey, white flowers, not a huge amount of acid but enough, the main sign of age is the softness of the finish. drinking beautifully, quite amazing for its age and genre 'aussie chardonnay', although not a surprise if you know Mt Mary. It would put many a 90's white Burgundy to shame. Yes its past its peak but its only fading very slowly. Hats off.
