PnP from a 375 at cellar temp. Far too young at this point. The dark fruits battled a surprisingly sour mid-palate that left both of us underwhelmed. The finish was clipped and the alcohol was prominent despite only being 13.5%. I did not find this to be in a good spot, so hold for now and hope the components integrate in the future.

Beautiful sweet cassis, bell pepper, American oak, but subtle, super fragrant; incredibly sensual on the palate, this has flesh and depth but is so easy drinking because of the outstanding harmony and the perfectly sweet, ripe, fine tannins. Will only get better over the next maybe 30 years. 19+/20

Inky dark, silky and pedigreed yet closed down some and very young, needs time for sure. Definite nice earthy dark fruit and garrigue beneath, and oh so silky. Patience.

Classic Bordeaux nose, and a bit rough-hewn now. Blackberry, plum, tar, and cigar box notes coalesce, with prickly tannins riding shotgun throughout. Needs a few more years at least.

Intoxicating nose of anise, currant, and sweet caramel. We drank a few glasses and recorked and drank the rest the next day. A richer and more concentrated example of monte bello with lots of cassis, spice and earthy notes. Very precise with no hard edges. A great showing. .
