My favorite wine of all-time at one point may have reached peak and now be on the downturn. Reflecting youthful color and perfumed aromatics, this proprietary red blend sprints out the gate. Full-blown cream-de-cassis, charred cherries and black berry with a defined streak of mocha running through the middle are pronounced and polished. Grilled herbs add dimension at mid-palate flanked by racy black plum notes and baking spices. A velvety, enchanting ending cloaked in blueberries and fresh sage leaves. Fatigued by the end of the evening though as the original luster began to recede. Still showing well, but a drop off from it's once lofty, sky high perch. Best now, but could still be relevant in a year or so.

Direct, with Bordeaux-like features and substance, but showing a touch of age, this red still maintains prime qualities and exceptional balance. Rustic berry, plum sauce and dried red fruits bound in a leather pouch. Cedary portion occupies the midpalate laced with a hint of clove. Turns dry and and herbal on a lightly oak splashed finish. I wished this to be better and open to bottle variation, but this one fell substantially below expectations.
