A beautiful wine and so perfectly representative of a white Bordeaux. Some complex rounded evolution but yet still so fresh. The colour tinged with light yellow/gold but still seems lifted and bright. Melon, apple, seashells. Simply gorgeous and so classy in its structure and taste.

pale straw. light crushed herbs and citrus zest. beautifully clean clear line of citrus and melon fruit with a coiled intensity of fine acidity. light on the palate but very long and resonant. needs time to develop and open.

Cellarhand Icon Tasting 2016 (Prince Sydney, 40 Hansard Street): Oak, butter, cream, slight yoghurt, slightly funky, green apple and grass backed by sweet spice. In the mouth all of the aromas are present as flavours but it's savoury and the spice is more to the fore. Juicy, fleshy, very pleasant.

Mount Mary & Wickhams Road (Prince Sydney, 40 Hansard Street): Medium minus intensity aromas of cream, butter, slight wax and honeysuckle and ripe citrus notes…tangy and spicy, there is a juiciness her but it lacks fruit, quite closed and a touch bitter. Hmm

Cellarhand Trade Day 2015 (Regent Theatre, Plaza Ballroom, Collins Street, Melbourne): Great, very textural and leesy while retaining great freshness and vibrancy. Not sure I get much varietal character from it, there's a bit of technique (and a lot of oak) showing. Very expensive for what it is.
