Light gold, not overly dark, like a 10yr old semillon. Lightly fragrant, not at all heavy. Gentle honey, some toast, a little honeysuckle flower, tell-tale lanolin. Gentle, almost creamy texture, flavours of honey, lemon curd, toasted bread. Soft but sufficiently crisp finish. Has definitely softened a lot with passing of time but still a very pleasant drink, no sign of heavy developed flavours, just a delicate version of its typical youthful self with some of the characters associated with a well kept aged semillon. Very little sign of the Sauvignon Blanc component, even less than normal. Ridiculously good for a 25 year old Aussie sem-sav, but then not totally unexpected from this vineyard. Only really lacks the closing zip for a better score.
