  Some mintiness and menthol on the nose, dark red fruit and pepper in mouth. A little hot on the finish. We preferred the K Morrison Lane which we tasted along side.

  Tasted October 16, 2005 at a retail tasting so brief comments. Opened and served immediate in Riedel restaurant line Syrah glasses. Purple color in the glass, clear hue throughout. A little closed at first try but started to open up and reveal some rose petals, black licorice and asphalt. Flavors of red cherries and red licorice. Good balance with some palate pleasing silky tannins. Not a great wine but a pleasurable wine to drink. Decant and taste at opening and 30 minutes if needed before proceeding. Recommended.
