Nice Brunello but a half-step behind the 2010 Siro Pacenti tonight. This could simply be attributed to this bottle maybe needing more time to open up- this glass was via Coravin and didn't get much air. 92+

Wonderful Brunello, freshness, herbs, leather, minerals... all the elements come together resulting a perfectly balance showing, showed improvement in the glass, so certainly not at the end of the its drinking window, but it's in a nice spot to give it a try!

Much more evolved than a bottle drunk in 2016. This showed the patina of age when poured. Nose of dried cherries, leather and Asian spice. Soft on the palate with some tertiary notes and a very dry finish. Decanted and consumed over 2 hours. Lots of sediment. If this was a representative bottle, not sure it has further upside as the tannins seem to be overtaking the fruit. While certainly enjoyable it did not really deliver to expectation given how precocious this showed last time around.

Obvious sangiovese, the slight sweet touch made me think of a vino nobile cru (think Asinone or Bossona). Compared to the bottle a few months ago, this bottle is far more evolved, so quite surprising.
