Full of ripe raspberry, plum and cassis but tempered and made more elegant by secondary notes of mocha, granite and oak. Robert Craig once told me the Mt. Veeder was his favorite of all the wines he made and this was very good. Fruit was sourced from the Robin William vineyards now owned be Tesseron. The same fruit from the same vineyard now sells for four times the price when Craig made it. We drank this along side a 2014 Freemark Abbey Mt. Veeder of a very different, bolder, more fruit forward style. The Craig exhibited more balance and elegance but both are drinking well right now.

Really lovely. Silky as others have noted. Tannins seem very balanced with the fruit. Drinking really well now. Handled some pretty serious BBQ which I did not expect. Opened and decanted for about an hour. It may last longer but why wait?

Worth the wait. Great mountain Cabernet. Drinking very well now and no reason to wait IMO. Especially, if you still want some fruit.

Medium bodied, Lots of fruit, silky smooth with soft tannins. This still has years to enjoy.
