Well worth the wait! In a great spot right now. Wonderful full and vibrant fruit wrapped in a complex structure. At least another year or so of quality drinking ahead.

Dark ruby red color. Still surprisingly fresh with ripe fruit and tangy acidity, definitely wouldn't guess this wine was 10 years old if tasted blind. Particularly notable given we opened the 2000 vintage last night and it wasn't drinkable. 2001 was clearly a better vintage for WA anyway, but the difference in pure drinkability is marked. This wine is still pricey for what you get, but it has held up well and I'd venture could hang around at least another 1-2 years.

This is amazingly good. A dead ringer for a left bank Bordeaux. A little funk on the nose with cassis and dark fruit. The palate is a nice restrained style with earth and dry tannins. A hint of charcoal and plum.
